Sighting-devices.-The object of the apparatus is to enable the commander of troops to indicate to his men the point to which they are to direct their fire, and this is effected by indicating to the men the angular relation between the desired sighting-line and the sighting-line to some prominent object. The apparatus is of the type comprising a single backsight and two foresights, one of which is adjustable, so that the target and some prominent object near it can be sighted simultaneously. The invention consists in a device having the adjustable sight B mounted to slide on a lateral arm A, which can be raised and lowered about the fixed foresight F as pivot.
