Abstract

28,973. Brandon, O. G. Dec. 16. Sights. - Relates to sights of the kind in which the foresight has an aperture in combination with the ordinary blade or other projection, and in which the backsight is of the same shape as the aperture in the foresight a n d of such a size that it subtends a slightly smaller angle at the eye, in aiming, the backsight being alined with the aperture in the foresight, and the foresight blade with the target. The invention consists mainly in arranging the aperture c, Fig. 1, vertically below the foresight blade b. The backsight d<1>, Fig. 2, and the aperture c are preferably diamond-shaped as shown, and the backsight may have protective wings e, Fig. 2, on each side.
