Roller bearings. - A self - contained adjustable roller bearing comprises two rows of tapered rollers a running on conical tracks between outer and inner cylindrical rings h, e. The outer track rings d are mounted within the ring h, and are adjusted to take up wear by a nut i locked by a split wire ring j. In a modification, the outer tracks are formed on the ring h, and the inner tracks are adjustable upon the inner ring e. The nut i may be replaced by bolts passing through the ring h, or by a movable flange on the ring.
