Abstract
19,896. Hendricks, M., and Burnap, J, S. Sept. 22. Flagstaffs are provided with a flag carrier 2 which can turn quite freely on the post 1 on ball bearings 5, 6 and 7, 8. The nut 9 allows the cone 8 to be shifted to compensate for wear. The halyards 16, 17 pass through an eye 13 attached to a ring 12 which is supported on ball races 14 so as to move in conjunction with the carrier 2.
