Casings; cylinders, cooling.-In a four-cylinder vertical engine, the water-circulating pump 21 and magneto 22 are driven from opposite ends of a spindle 20 which is driven, together with the valve-shaft 15, by a chain 17 and a sprocket-wheel on a countershaft 24. The whole of this gearing is carried by a removable casing 35.
