An internal-combustion engine having cylinders 34 formed in a closed cylindrical casing 30 which rotates inside a stationary water-jacketed casing 10 containing supply and exhaust ports which register at intervals with ports 36 opening into the combustion spaces through passages in the side walls 31 of the casing 30, has its ports 36 surrounded by packing-rings arranged as shown in Fig. 10.
