21,047. Meacair, D. S. Sept. 17. Suspension-spoke wheels; wheels with means other than motors for aiding propulsion.-Each spoke C, Fig. 1, is connected at an intermediate point in its length to a similarly shaped and disposed spoke, or to a distant point on the rim, by a tie or strap D, so that the coupling is only effective when the particular spoke is in tension. In the form preferred for pulleys, shown in Fig. 3, the tie D has both ends loosely hooked over adjacent spokes. It is stated that the device assists rotation or propulsion.
