19,810. Davis, W. H. Sept. 2. Mattresses.-A mattress formed of woven wire or wire links and springs is provided with means to prevent sagging, comprising a number of intersecting metal laths connected to the mattress frame and tension-bar and tensioned by helical springs. Longitudinal and transverse laths 7, 8, Fig. 1, or diagonal laths 12, Fig. 4, are pivoted together at 9 so that they can be collapsed when the helical springs 6, 14 and parts 10, 13 are unhooked from the members 5, 15, 4. The transverse laths 8 may be made in a number of short lengths pivoted to the longitudinal laths 7.
