Coating - machines; japanning. -In coating by spraying molten material, a deflector is disposed in the path of the spray to facilitate the coating of surfaces not readily accessible. T h e deflector l, Fig. 1, which may consist of a hemisphere of polished steel, is supported from the nozzle j of the spraying blowpipe. The tube d of the blowpipe may be flexible and the direction of the nozzle cnntrolled by a cord m, Fig. 6.
