18,778. Smith, R. W. Aug. 19. Seats.-The detachable seat 9 is adapted to be used in conjunction with the device shown for securing the valve-chest 1. The seat comprises a flange, supported by the cylinder casing, and the cylindrical parts as shown. The securing-means comprise a ring 4 which contacts with a butt-ended ring 6 which is sprung into a recess in the valve-chest.
