Vacuum cleaning-apparatus of the type in which the suction devices are actuated from the travelling wheels comprises a casing divided by an inclined partition c into front and rear compartments d, e. The compartment d is closed by a detachable nozzle o which secures the frame m of the dust bag n. The driving-wheels are chain-geared to a shaft v formed with cranks v<2>, v<3> connected to the moving boards of bellows by links w, x. The bellows exhaust the chamber d through valves g<2> in the partition c. The wheels can be raised from the ground by a pair of props 8, in which case the nozzle o is replaced by a simple closing-piece fitted with a flexible hose and nozzle, and the bellows are actuated by turning the shaft 2 by means of a key applied to its end.
