Abstract

2692. Schirra, J. Feb. 9, 1911, [Convention date]. Carpet-sweepers.-A carpet-sweeper is detachably combined with a vacuum cleaning-device of the bellows type so that either or both of the elements may be operated. The bellows 30 is mounted upon the handle 19 of the sweeper 1 and is connected to the suction nozzle 50 by means of a flexible pipe 46. The nozzle is provided with hangers 55 for engagement with projecting portions on either the front or rear of the sweeper. The bellows may be operated either with or without the sweeper by moving the sleeve 35 to - and - fro on the handle 19.
