15,627. Delmez, C. July 7. Securing bearings on shafts. - To protect a hall bearing for shafts against strains at starting, and shocks and vibrations, a sleeve carrying the bearing is resiliently connected to a shaft so as to be able to move thereon to a limited extent under the control of one or more springs. Two helical springs 7, 8 are fixed at one end to the shaft 1, and the other ends 9, 10 project loosely into recesses in the sleeve 6. The sleeve 6 is slit to enable it to be moved over irregularities in the shaft. Specification 8052/13, [Class 12 (i), Bearings &c.], is referred to.
