Atmospheric gasburners. -In a nipple regulator, a valve a<2> is formed on a bridgepiece at the end of the fixed tubular part a of the nipple and coacts with an orifice in a sleeve b longitudinally slidable in a gas-tight manner on the part a. The sleeve b may be operated by a shank b<2> projecting through a cam slot a<4> in a fixed external sleeve a<3> encircling the part a and rigidly connected thereto, the mixing-tube being secured to the sleeve a<3>. Fibre, asbestos, or other packing may be inserted between the sleeve b and the part a. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 14,977/03.
