Abstract
22,512. Ferguson, F. H. Oct. 3. Incandescent gas burners. - In inverted burners the mixing-tube has a bayonet-connexion l with the socket k of the nipple and a similar connexion with the nozzle e, used in combination with a special shade holder to render the parts quickly detachable to facilitate maintenance. The connexion l is supplemented by a set-screw fastening n, and the connexion between the mixing-tube and the nozzle e has a locking-nut f on one of the pins. A set-screw h serves to fix the hit-and-miss air regulator g and as a handle for turning it.
