[Addition to 5338/13.] Projectiles; projectile fuses. - Relates to bombs intended to be dropped from aircraft, and adapted to burst after rebound as described in the parent Specification, and consists mainly in delaying the ignition of the charge that produces the rebound until the bomb has come to rest so that a small charge only need be used to produce a substantial rebound. As shown in Fig. 1, the rebound charge 9 is ignited by a percussion fuse 5, 7 after a short interval of time determined by a time composition 22. The products of combustion escape bv holes 21<1> protected from obstruction by shields 24. The percussion fuse is held at safety during transport by a solid pin, and while in the dropping frame 28, Fig. 6, by a flexible pin 31 (instead of the usual solid pin) attached by a chain to the frame. The bomb is held to the frame by a hook and eye 29, 30.
