11,979. Miller, F. J. May 22, 1912, [Convention date]. Shackles.-A binding- chain for lumber is provided with a tightening- lever 11 which is held in position by a latch plate 14. One end of the plate, 14 is provided with an aperture to receive one of the chain links, and the other end passes over a finger 17 on the lever through which passes a bent locking-spring 19.
