Channels in thrust bearings.-Thrust bearings are lubricated by oil under pressure, introduced at each second fixed or rotating thrust collar c<1>, c<2>, and discharged at the intermediate collars d<1>, d<2>. By this means the oil is compelled to pass between the contacting faces of the bearing.
