Abstract
9644. Stille, C. April 24, 1912, [Convention date]. Telephones.-Compressed air from a supplypipe C is admitted to an earpiece B through slits s in a fixed diaphragm F and corresponding slits s<1> in a spring-controlled plate m. The plate m is vibrated laterally in response to telephone currents which affect the armature a of the magnet l, the position of which is adjustable bv the screw r. Fig. 3 is an enlarged sectional view showing the structure of the slitted plates.
