8331. Douglass, P. J. A. April 9. Alloys.-A nickel-copper alloy comprises 67 parts of nickel and 33 parts of copper, with either 2 to 8 parts of ferro-manganese, 5 parts of aluminium and 6 to 10 parts of tin or 5 to 15 parts of ferro-silicon and 1 to 8 parts of chromium. 3 to 5 per cent of tungsten may be added to either alloy. The product is non- magnetic, takes a high polish, and may be formed into efficient cutting-tools, which should be tempered.
