Abstract

5323. Goldwater, H. March 2, 1912, [Convention date]. Protractors; squares. - Relates to T-squares of the kind having a graduated blade pivoted to the head and an arm pivotally and slidably mounted on the blade, a slide being dovetailed into the arm and movable along it. According tu the invention, the blade 4 has two dovetailed longitudinal grooves, a scale 9 being passed into one, and the slide 11, carrying the arm 14 being mounted in the central groove 10. This arm 14 has a groove 18 in which is mounted a slide; the slide carries a scalemarker 22 which moves over the scale 17 and can be secured in any position by the nut 21.
