Projectiles; projectile fuses.-Relates to illuminating devices for indicating the trajectory of projectiles, and consists in an igniting - arrangement comprising a retarding- patch E in front of the illuminating - composition B, a chamber F in front of the retarding- patch, and a closure G provided with fine holes g<1> through which the propelling - gases from the gun cartridge D can enter and ignite the illuminating-composition through the medium of the retarding-patch, after they have expanded in this chamber. The plug G is expelled by the gases from the composition B.
