3671. Young, B. Feb. 12. Boxes made from special blanks; fittings, internal.-In a box for inverted incandescent gas mantles, the four walls parallel to the direction in which the mantle is inserted and the shelf section a<6>, Fig. 2, which holds in position the mantle ring are formed from a single strip of material folded only about transverse lines. The box is completed by the outer covering shown in Fig. 3, the two portions being secured together by stitching &c. In a modification, the box is formed from a single strip of material, and has the appearance shown in Fig. 5 or Fig. 6. All the parts, excepting the closing-flaps c<8>, c<9>, Fig. 5, and d<8>, d<9>, Fig. 6, are formed, as before, from a single transversely-folded strip of material.
