Abstract

118,036. Ayton, F. R. Nov. 21, 1917. Boxes made from special blanks; fittings, internal. -A box for holding an inverted incandescent gas mantle is formed from two blanks shaped as shown in Figs. 1 and 2. The blank shown in Fig. 1 is bent as shown in Fig. lies over the parts A, E being interlocked to form the bottom of the box. The part M, Fig. 2, is then arranged so that it lies over the parts A, E J. the platform G being disposed horizontally. The top C of the box is made narrower than the base A, E so as to prevent the front and back panels N, L from being pressed inside the box between the sides B, D. The platform G may be formed as a separate fitting with a holding-down lap such as J at each of its sides; or it may be made integral with the blank shown in Fig. 2.
