Abstract

29,040. Jõckle, B. Dec. 17. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Actuating; p i s t o n valves. - A draw - off valve adapted to be fitted in a bottle stopper or cork or secured in the b u n g - h o l e of a b a r r e l, comprises a ported tubular piston valve member arranged to slide in a tube provided with an outlet branch. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the valve member b has inlet ports i, outlet port g, and a curved flange b<1> fitted with an india-rubber washer to form a tight closure when the valve is closed. The valve is opened against the action of a spring by pressing a push-button c screwed on to the valve member. The tube b is prevented from rotating by means of a cross-pin e arranged in the outer or seat tube a and passing through slots f in the inner or valve member tube. In a modification, the outer tube is enlarged to enable it to be directly connected to a barrel. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1064/71, 4005/75, 16,647/02, [all in Class 125, Stoppering &c.], and 10,253/99.
