[Addition to 13,485/10.] Acidylaminooxyarsenobenzene derivatives are produced by treating acidylaminooxyarylarsonic acids with strong reducing agents. As parent materials may be used 3-acetylamino-4-oxy-, and 4-acetylamino-3-oxy-, phenylarsonic acids, oxyphenylurethane-arsonic acid, oxyphenylureaarsonic acid, &c. The reduction products are useful in therapeutics. Acidylaminooxyphenylarsonic acids. - An acetylaminophenolarsonic acid is produced by treating 3:4-aminophenolarsonic acid with acetic anhydride, an oxyphenylurethane-arsonic acid is produced by treating 3:4-aminophenalarsonic acid with ethylchlorcarbonate, and an oxyphenylurea-arsonic acid is produced by the action of potassium cyanate and acetic acid upon 3:4-aminophenolarsonic acid.
