Abstract

25,240. Barrett, W. H. Nov. 4. Cigar and cigarette holders.-A finger-attachment for holding cigars, cigarettes, pencils, &c. comprises a finger-sheath of tapered formation and an integral or attached clip or similar member disposed to hold the article in an isolated position at right-angles to the longitudinal axis of the sheath. The clip or similar member is formed on a strip of material which extends along the sheath. Fig. 2 shows a sheath formed from a blank of sheet metal or other material, with an integral clip a<2> formed from a projecting lug bent backwards along the sheath. The meeting edges of the blank may be secured together or may be left free to provide an adjustable fit. Fig. 7 shows a detachable clip provided with a stem c to be placed in slots b, Fig. 6, in the sheath. In another modification, the clip is adjustably secured in continuous grooves or channels formed by turning over the upper and lower edges of the sheath. In another modification, wire is coiled to form the sheath and folded, twisted, or doubled back to form the clip.
