Abstract

23,664. Brandley, H. Oct. 16. Cupboard-turns.-Relates to fastenings for doors or gates for barns and similar structures, of the type in which an arm is rotatably mounted on the jamb, its end being perforated for locking to a hasp on the door by means of a padlock. The arm 7 is mounted on a spindle 5 terminating in a handle 6 to allow of operation from both sides of the door. The hasp 12 is pivoted to a plate 10 on the door, the curved edge 11 of the plate coacting with a stop 8 on the perforated end 9 of the locking-arm, to guide it into position to be secured by the padlock 13.
