Tyres, non-elastic, and rims.-In wheels for traction engines and the like of the kind provided with a series of inclined rigid tread surfaces around the periphery, the tread surfaces 6 are arranged on either side of a central circumferential wedgeshaped rib 4. The tread surfaces are preferably alternating and approximately tangential to an inner rim 3, and are supported by straight or curved arms 5. The rib 4 prevents side-slip and forces soft soil to the sides of the wheel, and thus avoids clogging of the tread surfaces. An intermediate rim or flange 7 on the web 4 may be provided as a support for the arms 5 and tread surfaces 6. The rim 7 may be replaced by brackets or ribs.
