Tyre attachments to rims; tyres with rims enclosing air tubes or chambers.-The side plates B have angular flanges a, a' seated on the felloe, curved diverging walls, shoulders a<3>, and peripheral flanges a<4>. The thick rubber tread band E, supported by a pneumatic cushion, is formed with lateral projections fitting into, but of less radial depth than, the recesses formed by the parts a<3>, a<4>. Studs B<5>, Fig. 2, formed on the plates project laterally beyond the recesses into circular apertures e<4> passing through the tread E. The plates are stayed by bolts F, Fig. 3, passing through radial slots e<2>, which they fit circumferentially. The cushion is formed with projections B<2>, D<1> engaging respectively recesses in the felloe and tread.
