Abstract
22,435. Soc. GÚnÚrale des Nitrures. May 18, [Convention date]. [Addition to 13,086/10.] Chemical manufactures, furnaces for. - The furnace for making aluminium nitride described in the parent Specification is modified by replacing the upper revolving tube by a chamber in which the mixed carbon and aluminous products are heated by the combustion of the gases of the reaction in the lower tube but out of contact with them. The heating may be effected by passing the mixture down tubes r, Fig. 1, surrounded by the hot gases, or the latter may be passed through a serpentine tube s, Fig. 2, surrounded by the materials.
