Abstract

Couplings.-The conductive centre rod of a sparking-plug is electrically connected to a high-tension cable by means of a coned cr bulbous portion a<2> with a point a<3> and a reduced portion a<4>, the bulbous portion being adapted to be forced axially into the strands of the cable. A locking- ring e of insulating-material, threaded over the cable, is forced over the extended part of the cable end so as to surround the reduced part of the rod and to pinch the cable round the rod. A part e<2> of the ring loosely fits in a bore c<2> at the outer end of the plug body c.
