The rigid pipe a has a coned extremity c and is threaded at b for the nut d. The nut is coned at d<1> and internally threaded at d<2>, with a pitch equal or unequal to that at b, in order to grip the yielding pipe on to the coned part c. The part c may be grooved, as shown at c<1>. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) comprises also the provision of grooves in the nut in place of screw threads; this subject - matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
