Irrigation, agricultural.-Relates to forms of discharge orifices between a stream and a lateral irrigation channel, by which a uniform flow is obtained when the difference between the waterlevels in the stream and channel is small. One form is shown in Figs. 1 and 2, and another in Figs. 3 and 4. The stream-level is shown by the line C, and the channel-level by the line E-D. Vertical grooves J allow air to enter at the sides.
