Abstract
12,701. Sprong, S. D., and McCoy, W. E. May 29. Fusible cut-outs.-Relates to an arrangement of two electric fuses contained in separate circuits whereby the explosion caused by the blowing of one fuse determines the rupture of the other fuse. The fuses comprise a strip in loop form, one arm a of the loop being in one circuit, and the other arm b being in the other circuit. The ends of the loop and the common point c are connected to the circuit terminals C, D, G by connexions e, f, d respectively, of greater conductivity than the fuse strip. The strip arms may be brought parallel and close together, the end connexions being then passed through two converging passages in an insulating-piece.
