Spring wheels with sectional outer guided members.-A series of outer rim sections D, having flanges d guided between the flanges c of the inner rim C, are formed with bevelled ends bearing on the heads e of spring-pressed plungers e<1>. A flexible outer cover N is clamped to the rim C as shown. Roller bearings are fitted in the heads e and on distancebolts L which engage slots f in the flanges d. The cylinders K, in which the plungers e<1> are guided, may be pneumatic or fitted with springs M<1>. The various cylinders may contain lubricant and are connected by pipes J from which branches Z and e<3>, e' lead to the roller bearings on the bolts L and heads c respectively. The springs M<1> may be adjusted by means of the cap k and for testing the compression, an extension T, Fig. 1, fitted with a small spring t' and gauge V is screwed on to the boss w<1>.
