11,387. Reaugh, F. May 13. Fixed-abutment type. - One or more vanes are rotated continuously on one or more spindles which revolve bodily within the casing. Fig. 1 shows two vanes P on spindles S', which are carried round and geared by toothed wheels to the engine shaft A so as to rotate at half the speed thereof and in a reverse direction. The contour of the casing B and the fixed eccentric core Cr is approximately a crunodal limaþon, modified by the provision of a circular throat for the passage of the vanes, through which also pass projections F which rotate with the vane spindles so as to close the fluid-passage. Other means for gearing the vanes to the engine shaft may be used.
