Abstract

Pressure - regulating valves. - An automatic valve used in refrigerating - apparatus is arranged to ensure that the pressure in the separator connected to pipe E<1> may always be a certain amount higher than that in the evaporator connected to the pipe at the opposite end of the casing. The valve consists of a hollow piston E<4> pressed upwards by a spring E<5> and furnished with tapering holes E allowing passage of the gas to the compressor.
