Moulding-machines.-In a machine for stamping the contents of moulds, the stamp-rods 13 are guided in slotted bars 11 and are operated separately or collectively by arms 20, adjustably mounted upon a shaft 18 and formed with projections 21, which engage tappets 26 formed on rods 23 connected to the stamp-rods at 25. The rods 23 are constrained hy adjustable guides 29 on a bar 27 and guide-pins 30 on the lower bar 11, owing to which the tappets 26 gradually pass off the projections 21 as the stamps are raised. The stamps are thrown out of gear and held in raised positions by dogs 33 pivoted to the upper bar 11 and provided with pins 38 engaging slots 37 in a guide-bar 36 controlled by a lever 40. When the lever 40 is turned into the position indicated in full lines, the tappets 26 engage with and deflect the dogs 33 against the action of springs 39 and are themselves pushed off the projections 21 and caught in sockets 35 formed on the dogs whereby they are held out of the path of the projections 21. On turning the lever 40 into the position shown in dotted lines, the tappets 26 are again brought into the path of the projections 21.
