[Cognate Application, 11,496/12.] Hooks, safety.-A snap fastening for necklets, chains, sleeve links, or similar articles comprises a hook a, Fig. 2, pivoted to a split closing-tube d, which, when the fastening is closed, completely encloses the shank of the hook as shown in Fig. 1. A projection h is formed on the tube to facilitate opening. The ring b may be replaced by another hook, similarly locked by an extension of the tube d.
