The trucks c, which are made of laths or perforated material, are charged from the trucks j and are pushed into the heated chambers a. The dried material is discharged on the opposite side into trucks r. The chambers are heated by steam or water radiators m and are provided with airexhausting means q and fresh-air inlets. Hermetically-sealed vacuum drying - plant may be used in conjunction with a condenser, water-receiving tank, and vacuum pump.
