Breech actions, drop-down barrel.-Relates to guns having superposed barrels, and consists mainly in arranging the firing-pins to pass through holes in the spindle of the top-lever. The firing-pins a, b are mounted in sleeves c secured to the action-body. The holes g in the spindle d are made wide enough to allow of the rotary unlocking movement. The firing-pins and hammers are so arranged that, at the moment of striking, the face of the hammer is at right-angles to the axis of the firing-pin. Specifications 6223/10 and 28,806/10 are referred to.
