Abstract

4813. Murray, J. E. Feb. 26. Deflectable axle ends. - A pivoted axle end forming a wheel bearing for motor-vehicles is provided with a central member 6 and an outer flanged annular member 7, 8, separated by two cavities 9 in which the forked ends 2, 3 of the axle are held by a vertical pivot pin 4 in the central plane of the wheel spokes. The pin 4 is slightly tapered, and is fixed to the arm 6 by a screw 10. A lug 42 receives the connecting- rod of the steering-mechanism.
