2495. Bloxam, A. G., [Siemens-Schuckertwerke Ges.]. Feb. 4. Motor road vehicles.-In an electrically-propelled motor road vehicle of the kind in which the motor casing has its axis at right-angles to, and is rigidly connected with the rear axle casing, the motor is mounted within a ring which is suspended on trunnions in the vehicle frame. Figs. 2 and 3 show the invention in cross-section and plan respectively, and Fig. 4 shows a modified arrangement. The motor casing a is rigidly connected by a tube b and tie-rods c to the casing d of the driving-axle. The motor is mounted preferably by means of a bayonet-joint so as to be capable of rotation in a ring e, which is suspended on trunnions g fixed to the frame of the car. In the modified form shown in Fig. 4, the motor is mounted as before, but an intermediate shaft k is provided, the bearings of which are carried by the tie-rods c.
