Abstract
1919. Houghtons, Ltd., and Edwards, W. A. Jan. 24. Lens fittings.-A holder for a colour-screen which is to be fitted on to the lens mount comprises two rings 1, 9, Figs. 1 and 2, between which the screen 8 is held by the flange 7, and three triangularly-disposed bow springs 16, each of which is jointed at one end 14 to the inner ring the other ends of the springs extending through slots 10, 11, 12 in the inner ring; and through slots 2, 3, 4 in the outer ring. The ends of the springs are cut with flanges which abut against the slots 10, 11, 12. The inner ring 9 can be rotated by a knob 13 which projects through a slot 6 of the outer ring, and when rotated the springs 16 are drawn from the slots 2, 3, 4 and are arched along the circumference as shown in dotted lines. In this position, the holder is slipped on to the lens mount and the inner ring rotated to release the springs which clamp the holder on to the mount.
