Abstract

191,163. Hamilton, J. Oct. 7, 1921. Bedclothes, securing in position.-A device for supporting bedclothes clear of the feet of the occupant of the bed comprises a flat sheet 2 of wood, metal, or fibre, adapted to be inserted horizontally between the upper and lower mattresses 6, 7, and having formed integral therewith or attached thereto a similar vertical sheet 3 over which the bedclothes 8 are passed, Fig. 4, before being tucked in between the mattresses 6, 7. To prevent damage to the bedding the upper edge of the sheet 3 is curved, all the corners are rounded, and a beading 4 is applied round the edges of all faces except the lower surface of the sheet 2. The device may be covered with washable slips and when made of metal the inner surface of the sheet 3 is faced with a thin layer of wood or fibre.
