Hot-water supply.-Relates to a closed-circuit central-station system for supplying hot water for domestic and other purposes to taps as well as radiators in which exhaust steam is used as the heating-medium. The exhaust steam from engines a in a power or other station A is supplied to heaters b, from which the heated water is circulated by means of pumps c through pipes d to taps f<1> and radiators f in buildings E, the cool water being returned to the heaters b. If desired, a double pair of pipes d, d' is employed, one pair being connected to the radiators and the other pair to the taps. In some cases, a destructor station C may be utilized for supplying the district when a station A is not in use, and in this case the necessary by-passes are fitted outside stations A and C.
