Tyre valves.-A tyre valve c is secured to a tyre b by means of a perforated screw d adapted to screw into the enlarged top portion of the valve casing. Air-tight joints are made by washers i, j and flanges g, h, which, however, may be dispensed with. The flange h is provided with points h' adapted to be embedded in the wooden rim r of the wheel. The valve consists of a spring-pressed ball m seating on a washer e. A dust-cap f is provided with a pointed extension f<1>, which can be passed through the orifice e' to loosen the ball m.
