Fig. 5 shows a combination consisting of two rings A slit from the inner and outer peripheries with one ring B slit from the sides. Groups of rings may be mounted in carrier-rings L, Fig. 6, secured by a split keepring M. The Provisional Specification states that the packing is suitable for stuffing-boxes.
