[Cognate Application, 25,594/11.] Bushes for bung-holes.-In order to make a tight joint between a bung-hole bush and a cask, the flange b, Fig. 1, of the bush is provided with a sharpened annular rib c and an annular recess of arc-shaped section, in which is placed an absorbent packing-ring d. The outer edge of the flange is provided with notches or slots e designed to be engaged by projections h, Fig. 3, on a collar f having a recess g to receive the flange and slots i engaged by a detachable bar used to turn the collar.
